This is great advice if your chronotype (innate circadian rhythm for your wake-sleep cycles) is that of the ‘early riser’/lion.
If you are a ‘9–5er’/bear, ‘night owl’/wolf, or ‘insomniac’/dolphin… it’s a bad idea. Sleep kryptonite!
As vulnerable pack animals that did most things by day, but needed to sleep safely at night, humans evolved a range of sleep patterns that made sure some portion of the tribe/band was always awake.
